John Power founded Power People to do direct-hire recruiting his own way.

John started in recruiting at Robert Half in 2009, in the middle of the financial crisis, and built a healthcare practice across the Baltimore-Metro region into a national powerhouse. Promoted twice, he became Division Director of the Healthcare team in 2011 and led it through the most successful stretch in the team's two-decade history — leaving as a Vice President and a top 5 healthcare producer in the United States.

It was during his time with Veritas Partners (2019–2026) that he built some of his strongest connections, both internally and externally — earning a partnership along the way and, most importantly, lifelong friends. Since 2017 he's worked exclusively in direct hire and permanent placement. Today he's taking that experience out on his own.
